It is the year 1955 when miffy comes to life in the sketches of illustrator Dick Bruna. He uses them to tell stories to his son: this turns out to be such a success that Dick Bruna decides to publish a book. The very first miffy book is published in 1955 and this is the start of a very successful series: miffy is super popular! Nowadays, this fictional animal can be found in almost every household with small children.
