Belgium 2.5 Euro Coin 2021 “5 Years of Belgian Beer Culture Intangible Heritage” BU in Coincard NL

Besides tangible heritage such as monuments, fortunately intangible heritage is also cherished! This can be customs and rituals, but also a specific expression of a skill that a country is known for. Thus, five years ago, Belgian beer culture was added to UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
 
This was also the reason for the Royal Mint of Belgium to issue a 2 ½ euro coin honouring “5 years of Belgian beer culture - intangible heritage”. The 2 ½ euro coin is minted in BU-quality and is issued in two language versions. On the coincard, a close-up of a beer will quench your thirst. On the coin you will see the Belgian beer culture in a nutshell; each beer has its own matching type of glass!
