Belgium 2 Euro ''International Women's Day'' 2011

• Special 2 euro coin in honor of 100 years of International Women's Day 2011.

• The coin shows the images of Isala Van Diest, the first female Belgian doctor, and of Marie Popelin, a Belgian feminist, teacher, and lawyer.

• On March 19, 1911, millions of women from Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the US took part in the first International Women's Day. Women's Day came into being after a long struggle for equal opportunities and the right to vote.
