THE LIBERATION ROUTE EUROPE AND THE BENELUX
The Liberation Route Europe connects the main regions through which the Western Allies advanced during the final phase of WWII. Through an impressive route that crosses 10 countries, hundreds of historical sites can be discovered: from war graves, museums and monuments to places where regular events and commemorations take place. The trail leads past numerous penetrating facts, stories and impressions of the fighting and suffering that took place at these sites. The 80th anniversary of the Liberation is reason to make the Liberation Route Europe the theme of the Benelux set 2025.
