Today marks exactly 65 days until the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest! After a year’s delay, the Eurovision Song Contest will finally take place no matter the circumstances. In celebration, the design of the Eurovision issues has been used to create an exquisite necklace, which is now available for purchase.
It has been almost two years since Dutch singer Duncan Laurence won the Eurovision Song Contest with his song “Arcade”. Last year, the contest was to take place in Rotterdam Ahoy, the Netherlands, but the COVID-19 pandemic threw a spanner in the works. On 18, 20 and 22 of May 2021, the 65th edition of the contest will finally happen! The organization has worked out several scenarios to prevent another delay.A beautiful necklace
The Royal Dutch Mint has previously launched three exclusive Eurovision Song Contest issues with a special design. We are very proud of this and have therefore reused the design this year to create a beautiful necklace. Watch the video below to discover how the special relief of the necklace was made!
The obverse shows the innovative water relief and the official logo the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The water relief is also minted on the reverse. The Eurovision Song Contest necklace is available in two editions: in pure silver and in gold plated silver. Both will be delivered in a jewelry box with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and are strictly limited edition. So be quick and grab yours now!
