Finland 2 Euro "EU enlargement" 2004
€55.95
• After Greece, Finland was the second EU country with a special 2-euro commemorative coin. The coin was issued in honor of the expansion of the European Union with ten new member states.
• The national side of this special 2 euro coin was designed by the sculptor Pertti Mäkinen and shows a plant with ten leaves. The plant represents the growth of the European Union, the ten leaves symbolizing the acceding countries.
• This coin is very scarce because it is minted in a relatively small edition of 840,000 and, moreover, was 'hidden' in rolls with regular 2 euro coins.
