Floriade Expo 2022 in Coincard

To commemorate Floriade Expo 2022 the Royal Dutch Mint launches a special coincard with two Dutch 20 euro cents and a 2 euro cent from 2022. The green coincard is not only green in colour, but also contributes to a greener world. Part of the proceeds of this coincard will be used to plant a forest.
 
Floriade Expo 2022
Floriade Expo is a world horticultural exhibition that is organised only once every ten years. From the 14^th of April until the 9^th of October 2022, part of Almere will be transformed into one large blooming garden. Within the theme “Growing Green Cities”, which draws attention to greener cities, more than 400 national and international participants present their latest green inventions. You can stroll through the gardens and the arboretum, be culinary surprised by green dishes or enjoy the cultural program: Floriade is definitely worth a visit.
 
Growing Green Cities
It will not surprise you that green is the colour of Floriade and this colour is also represented on the coincard. On the obverse you can see the floor plan of Floriade, with many gardens and even an arboretum! On the reverse the logo of Floriade Expo 2022 is shown and icons that depict all the activities you can experience at Floriade. For example, there is a greenhouse to represent the green splendour that is on show, musical notes for the cultural program and much more. The coincard contains three Dutch euro coins from 2022 in BU quality: two 20 cent coins and one 2 cent coin. Together they symbolise the year 2022. Part of the proceeds of the coincards will be used to plant a forest, so you also contribute to Growing Green Cities!
