NOS Jeugdjournaal presenters Evita Mac-nack and Joris Marseille have struck the first commemorative coin honouring 40 years of NOS Jeugdjournaal. They struck the coin together with responsible State Secretary for Finance Hans Vijlbrief. The ceremonial First Strike took place in the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision in Hilversum. The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision in Hilversum is located in the middle of the Media Park, the heart of the Dutch media landscape. Here, State Secretary Hans Vijlbrief, Evita Mac-nack and Joris Marseille struck the first copy of the NOS Jeugdjournaal 5 Euro Coin with the historic coin press. Mac-nack has been presenting the NOS Jeugdjournaal since 2019, Marseille has been working there since 2012. Eppo van Nispen gave a speech about the significance of the NOS Jeugdjournaal for Dutch television.

The definitive mintage of the First Day Issue will be announced on 21 October 2021.
