Spain 2 Euro "Escorial" 2013

• Special 2 euro coin dedicated to the Escorial.

• This huge building complex was built under Philip II. It served as a castle, monastery and final resting place for Philip's father Charles V.

• The Escorial has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1984.
