Theme Set 2021

The Theme Set of the Royal Dutch Mint is entirely devoted to the Royal Family. This special coin set is issued annually and celebrates the milestones in the lives of the members of the Royal family. Weddings, state visits, special public appearances, crown anniversaries and births are all featured in this very popular issue among collectors.
 
Theme Set 2021
Two special birthdays will be celebrated within the Royal family in 2021. Queen Máxima blew out 50 candles on May 17^th. Princess Amalia will celebrate her 18^th birthday on 7 December. She will officially become an adult and can choose the public tasks she wants to take on. To celebrate the special birthdays, the Theme Set 2021 centres around the Queen and Crown Princess.
 
Design
You can read more about the special royal birthdays in the elegant packaging of the Theme Set. In addition to all eight Dutch euro coins from 2021 in shiny BU quality, the set also contains a heavily silver-plated commemorative medal. The obverse shows the double portrait of Queen Máxima and Princess Amalia. The reverse shows a grid of overlapping stars with the texts “Koningin Máxima 50 jaar” (Queen Máxima 50 years) and “Prinses Amalia 18 jaar” (Princess Amalia 18 years) and the year 2021. A reminder of a special year for the Royal family!
