Vatican BU Set "Sede Vacante" 2005

• Special coin set commemorating the Popeless Period (Sede Vacante) after the death of Pope John Paul II on April 2, 2005.
• The coins do not show a portrait, but the papal Ombrellino and the coat of arms of the Camerlengo, the temporary substitute of the pope.
• On April 24, 2005, the new Pope Benedict XVI was inaugurated, but the first coins with his effigy will not appear until 2006.
