The Royal Dutch Mint is proud to announce the 2022 issues. We have many special coins and medals waiting for you this year. We are starting the coin year well with three issues that you can order directly at www.royaldutchmint.com.
Brand New IssuesCelebrate Loeki de Leeuw's 50th birthday, for example! A special issue has been designed to honour the most beloved lion on Dutch television. The issue is available as a coincard*, in Silver 1 ounce and (very limited) in Gold 1 ounce. The silver and gold issues come in a luxurious, numbered case with the Loeki de Leeuw logo and a compilation of Loeki comics. These issues also come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
You can also order the very first Dutch euro coins of 2022, assembled in the Annual Set The Netherlands 2022 in BU quality. The Annual Sets have been completely renewed this year! As culture carriers and a means of communication, coins function as sort of time capsules. The Annual Sets The Netherlands from 2022 are therefore linked to (inter)national and personal milestones of this year. In addition, from 2022 to 2025, the Annual Sets from the National Collection® are devoted to the four elements: earth, fire, air and water. After all, the elements are linked to the seasons that determine our annual rhythm. The series starts this year with the element “Earth”.
Last but not least, you can order the Official Restrike Ducaton 2022, packaged in the beautiful earthenware of Royal Delft. This former trading coin depicts the “Silver Rider”: a rider on horseback with sword raised, ready for battle! This year the popular coin is again available in silver and gold, in both a 1 ounce and a 2 ounce Piedfort edition. All Ducatons are strictly limited and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
