The Advent season is a time of expectation, hope and love. It is the time we mostly share with our loved ones. To make the Advent Sundays even more special, the Royal Dutch Mint created a Advent Calendar.
Design
The Advent Calendar has a special packaging. The building of the Royal Dutch Mint is portrayed on it. The Dutch Vault opens not one, but four doors for you. These four doors represent the four Sundays of Advent. Behind every door, you will find a unique medal, inspired by church windows and Christmas traditions.
The Advent Sundays for Christmas 2022 are November 27th, December 4th, December 11th and December 18th. The first medal for the first Sunday of Advent symbolizes hope: the perfect way to start this season. The second medal gets you in the perfect Sinterklaas mood. For the third Sunday of Advent, you will receive a special guardian angel for next year. The last medal makes sure you are ready for Christmas time!
