Annual Set The Netherlands 2024 Proof Quality

Thanks to air, people, but also animals and plants, can stay alive. This indispensable element is also the most elusive: we can’t always see air, but it’s everywhere around us. It’s in the fresh breeze during summer time, but also the heavy gusts of wind during an autumn storm. 

The Annual Set The Netherlands 2024 in Proof Quality includes a special medal, which is completely aligned with the element Air. The obverse of the medal shows a special design, which can be seen as a symbol for the element: an air balloon floats through the clouds. And for the first time, the reverse of the medal has a design, where it was always a blank space before. At the bottom, clouds are visible. In the center, birds fly through the sky, with a sun in the background. 

Proof Quality

The euro coins in the set have been minted in Proof quality, the highest quality mintage. Several techniques have been used on Proof coins to improve the quality of the coin, such as the use of polished planchets and stamps. These techniques ensure that the relief stands out beautifully against the background. Proof quality coins are minted one at a time, are never touched with bare hands and are encased in a capsule to prevent damaging.
