Annual Set The Netherlands 2025 Proof Quality

A small flame can grow into a large fire. Fire is also the only element that needs the other elements to exist. Oxygen (air) and fuel (earth) are needed for a fire to grow. Water is the element that can extinguish a fire. This way, all elements come together with the last element in this series.  

The Annual Set The Netherlands 2025 in Proof Quality includes a special medal, which is completely aligned with the element Fire.  On the obverse of the medal, a Phoenix is depicted. This is a mythical creature, that is a symbol for rebirth. It also represents immortality. In mythology, the Phoenix builds a nest at the end of its life: this nest goes up in flames and from these flames, a new Phoenix rises. Nowadays, this mythical creature also represents a comeback from hard times. On the reverse of the medal is a sun, maybe the most well-known symbol for fire. 

Proof Quality

The euro coins in the set have been minted in Proof quality, the highest quality mintage. Several techniques have been used on Proof coins to improve the quality of the coin, such as the use of polished planchets and stamps. These techniques ensure that the relief stands out beautifully against the background. Proof-quality coins are minted one at a time, are never touched with bare hands and are encased in a capsule to prevent damaging.
