Belgium 5 Euro Coin 2020 ”Team Belgium” Colour BU in Coincard

Since the Summer Olympic Games in 2008, the Royal Mint of Belgium has the annual tradition to support their Olympic athletes with a beautiful commemorative coin! This year is no exception.
 
Never before have the Olympic Games been postponed to take place exactly one year later, as happened this year with the Olympic Games in Tokyo. As a consequence, it has also been the first time in history that the Royal Mint of Belgium had to postpone the launch of an official coin by a year.
 
And an impressive coin it is! For the first time ever, an Olympic 5 euro coin has been issued in two editions: in classic relief and with coloured accents. The coin is encased in an attractive coincard with subtle references to Tokyo. The mintage is limited to only 12,500 copies, half of which with coloured accents.
