The Royal Dutch Mint proudly presents restrikes of the very special Ducaton: Silver Rider, on a yearly basis. The original silver coin is named after the knight on horseback on the reverse. The Silver Rider was a beloved trade coin minted between 1659 – 1798 by the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. The Royal Dutch Mint’s restrike is based on the original Ducaton from the province of Utrecht and is available in silver and gold, in both 1 and 2 ounce.

Beautiful Royal Delft coin holder
In 2021, the Royal Dutch Mint Ducaton is found in the familiar Royal Delft earthenware. The Delft Blue coin holder depicts classic Dutch scenery: a flat landscape with water, a windmill and beautiful flowers. We salute the Dutch landscape with this design. The artisanal coin holders by Royal Delft have become true collector’s items on their own. The Ducaton in Silver Proof comes with a uniquely numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
