An ode to the Dutch 10 Guilder cent, the dime! In 1818 the very first dimes were minted and therefore this year the dime celebrates its 200th anniversary. Even though the dimes have disappeared from our wallets, they still live on in the Dutch language in some typical Dutch sayings.
