The Royal Dutch Mint is celebrating the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with an elegant piece of jewelry.
The whole of Rotterdam has been turned upside down in celebration of the Eurovision Song Contest. For example, there is a large street art project, “UP Street”, in which artists from six participating countries collaborate. As part of the project, Jeangu Macrooy, the Dutch representative at Eurovision, has been immortalized on a wall next to Ahoy. Elsewhere in the city there are ABBA traffic lights where you can dance to “Waterloo”, one of the most famous winners of the Eurovision Song Contest. In front of Rotterdam Central Station a huge version of the Eurovision Song Contest trophy can be seen, which was 3D printed from recycled PET material. The Eurovision Song Contest Jewel
The Royal Dutch Mint is also celebrating the Eurovision Song Contest! In honour of the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, we have released an elegant pendant on a necklace. The special design was made with the help of a unique installation, which played a mix of all winning Eurovision Song Contest tracks. There was a round vessel of water on the speaker. Via a 3D model, the relief created by the sound waves in the water was converted into a physical product that encompasses the entire history of the Eurovision Song Contest. The jewels, available in silver and gold plated silver, can be ordered on our website!
